The Steinbrenner Warriors will challenge the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steinbrenner's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Bloomingdale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Thursday, Steinbrenner was able to grind out a solid victory over Wharton, taking the game 4-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lilly Patton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jenna Fortenberry, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Callie Bergen, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale entered their tilt with Plant on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulls have posted since May 14, 2024.
Natalie Cable was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Cable was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Marley Boucher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Paige Sanchez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Bloomingdale's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Steinbrenner, their record now sits at 17-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Steinbrenner has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bloomingdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Steinbrenner suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Bloomingdale when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
