The South Aiken Baptist Christian CRUSADERS struggled with assists on Thursday (the Curtis Baptist Crusaders had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. South Aiken Baptist Christian had to suffer through a rough 69-31 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. South Aiken Baptist Christian has not had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, South Aiken Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Sam Terlizzi, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Terlizzi has scored all season. Jackson Windham was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Ty Shine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Curtis Baptist, scoring 22 points along with eight steals. Shine hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Bailey, who scored eight points along with nine steals.
South Aiken Baptist Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Curtis Baptist, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Aiken Baptist Christian will take on the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Curtis Baptist, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Charleston Collegiate is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
