She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emmy Chambless, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Foster, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Nederland lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Port Arthur Memorial fell victim to Barbers Hill and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Eagles.
Port Arthur Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Nederland, their record is now 17-5.
Port Arthur Memorial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Nederland hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .386. It's a different story for Port Arthur Memorial, though, as they've only averaged .145. Will they be able to contain Nederland's hitters?
Everything went Nederland's way against Port Arthur Memorial in their previous matchup back in March, as Nederland made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
