Softball Recap: Malakoff Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Malakoff entered their tilt with Mineola on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-8 back in March.

Malakoff pushed their record up to 18-6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of four runs across that stretch. As for Mineola, they moved to 12-9-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Malakoff and Mineola will both be playing Grand Saline the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will host the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
