Vistamar proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 24) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes, sneaking past 33-31. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Vistamar's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for California Academy of Math & Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vistamar has already played their next game (against Rolling Hills Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. California Academy of Math & Science will venture away from home to take on Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so California Academy of Math & Science's offense will have their work cut out for them.
