The Northwood Chargers can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cummings 57-17 on the road. Given Northwood's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Cummings is ranked 540th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Skylar Adams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Neah Henry, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
The win made it two in a row for Northwood and bumps their season record up to 17-5. As for Cummings, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Northwood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. Northwood is on a four-game streak of home wins, Chatham Central a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Cummings, they will head out on the road to challenge North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Moore is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Cummings an 11-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
