On Saturday, East Hickman County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to San Dimas. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as East Hickman County came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 39th in Tennessee, while San Dimas is ranked 136th in California).
Among those leading the charge was Priscilla Romero, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Janessa Rodriguez, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
East Hickman County's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for San Dimas, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
East Hickman County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cheatham County Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Cheatham County Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three matchups. As for San Dimas, they will be playing at home against Diamond Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on January 8th. Diamond Ranch will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
