The Humble Christian Cougars posted their biggest win since November 9, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by The Connection School of Houston on the road to the tune of 61-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Humble Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Kyron Williams, who scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Pierce Starlard, who scored 13 points.
The Connection School of Houston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Senofsky, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Senofsky has scored all season. Antonio Weesner was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
The victory got Humble Christian back to even at 7-7. As for The Connection School of Houston, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Humble Christian will take on Banff at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Banff is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for The Connection School of Houston, they will head out on the road to take on Humble Christian at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday.
