Four Corners has struggled against Altamonte Christian recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Four Corners still got an impressive performance from Karina Cruz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Cruz hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Mia Villanueva, who scored four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Altamonte Christian was led to victory by Alexis Hill and Kayleigh Cooper. Hill dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds, while Cooper dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 assists. Cooper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 16 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taneya Wright, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Four Corners now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Altamonte Christian, they pushed their record up to 20-6 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
Four Corners will face off against Lakeland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Four Corners focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. Altamonte Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
