Basketball Recap: Bryson Mcinville's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Maranatha Christian over Calvary Christian

If Maranatha Christian was feeling good fresh off their 65-21 takedown of Emmanuel Christian back in November, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maranatha Christian Bulldogs lost to the Calvary Christian Patriots on the road by a 65-48 margin on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Maranatha Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryson McInville, who posted 18 points. McInville's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Hanna, who had 15 points.

Maranatha Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Calvary Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Maranatha Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-57 victory against Sumter Christian on the 13th. As for Calvary Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-21 win against Coastal on the 12th.
