After a string of three wins, Vista Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 55-46 to the Clear Falls Knights. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Knights are ranked 142nd).

Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mason Kuehn, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gavin Howard, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points.

Vista Ridge now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Clear Falls, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Vista Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-55 loss against Gregory-Portland on the 14th. Clear Falls has also already played their next match, a 54-48 victory against Rouse on the 14th.
