Berkeley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Wando Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Berkeley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Berkeley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-27 loss to Goose Creek. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berkeley in their matchups with Goose Creek: they've now lost five in a row.
Berkeley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Imani Levey, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Amani Mccray who scored six points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wando entered their tilt with Cane Bay with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Wando blew past Cane Bay 55-27 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Wando has posted since December 6, 2023.
Berkeley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for Wando, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Berkeley didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Wando in their previous meeting on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berkeley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
