If the Manning Monarchs were riding high off their 56-32 takedown of the Aynor Blue Jackets last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Manning was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 69-68 to the Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), Manning still had to take the loss.
Dillon found their leader in underclassman Zamaurious Robertson, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Robertson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Fling, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Manning's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Dillon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manning will take on the Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Loris has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last four games. As for Dillon, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Waccamaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
