They really took it to Southwest EC for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-32 win on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Central considering their 19-point performance the match before.
Leading Central to victory were Victoria Zamora and Janelle Thomas. Zamora scored 14 points along with three steals, while Thomas scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Mya McClain, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Southwest EC, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Central will head out on the road to challenge Calexico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest EC, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Vincent Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Vincent Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
