Cinnaminson is 6-1 against Burlington Township since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The pair will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cinnaminson is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Even though Pemberton scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Cinnaminson still came out on top. Cinnaminson walked away with a 67-55 victory over Pemberton. Cinnaminson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Burlington Township had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Burlington City by a score of 59-47.
Burlington Township's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aaron Ferguson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Baron Davis, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Burlington Township's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quayd Hendryx, who scored ten points.
Cinnaminson's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Burlington Township, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
Cinnaminson was able to grind out a solid victory over Burlington Township when the teams last played back in January of 2019, winning 59-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cinnaminson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
