The Desert Pines Jaguars won the last time they faced the Eldorado Sundevils, and things went their way on Monday too. Desert Pines claimed a resounding 58-8 win over Eldorado at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-7.
Desert Pines' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alanna Jackson led the charge by scoring 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taveah Oliver, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
Despite the loss, Eldorado still got an impressive performance from Ty'Teaira Foreman, who scored 6 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Desert Pines and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Eldorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Pines will take on Cheyenne at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Cheyenne focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday. As for Eldorado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
