Adair County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pulaski County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Indians blew past the Maroons 12-2 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Brayton Coomer made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Dax Conn was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Bryce Russell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Adair County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pulaski County only posted an OBP of .333.
