After two games on the road, Chowchilla is heading back home. They will take on the Caruthers Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Chowchilla's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chowchilla's strategy against the Cowboys on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Chowchilla blew the Cowboys out of the water with a 63-33 final score.
It was another big night for Ryan Deatherage, who scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Beardsley, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Caruthers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Yosemite by a score of 48-36 on Thursday. The win was just what Caruthers needed coming off of a 64-43 defeat in their prior match.
Chowchilla has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Caruthers, their win bumped their record up to 14-12.
Chowchilla came up short against the Blue Raiders in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 69-63. Can Chowchilla avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
