The Rustburg Red Devils lost against the Glass Hilltoppers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rustburg fell to Glass 44-38.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Tyree, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samiyah Jackson, who scored nine points.
Rustburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Glass, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Rustburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph-Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Randolph-Henry is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Glass, they will head out on the road to take on Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glass in Virginia (Liberty is ranked 39th, while Glass is ranked 138th).
