The Inspiration Academy Lions will venture away from home to  square off against the Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Inspiration Academy will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Inspiration Academy faced off against Bradenton Christian on Monday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp  11-2 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six  runs or more this season.
 Emma Szabo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Avery Bouquin and  Jade Carnahan did most of the damage at the plate:  Bouquin  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Carnahan  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  Carnahan has posted since back in March of 2024.  Alexis McInerney was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
Meanwhile, Academy of the Holy Names came up short against McKeel Academy on Friday and fell  7-2.
 Academy of the Holy Names saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ava LaBarbera, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Inspiration Academy's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 18-4. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Academy of the Holy Names, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Inspiration Academy might still be hurting after the  7-0 loss they got from Academy of the Holy Names  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
