The Fort Bend Elkins Knights will face off against the Kingwood Park Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Elkins will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Fort Bend Elkins and Fort Bend Hightower have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Knights came out on top against the Hurricanes by a score of 3-1.
Fort Bend Elkins had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Fort Bend Elkins can attribute much of their success to Leena Kadir-Balogun, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Hailey Dela Cruz, who had seven digs and three assists. What's more, Kadir-Balogun racked up 15 assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.
Kingwood Park won the last time they faced Splendora and Emma Abel did her part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Friday with plenty of help from Abel, who had 15 digs and one assist. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.
Kingwood Park walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-21.
Fort Bend Elkins' win bumped their record up to 22-17. As for Kingwood Park, their victory bumped their record up to 21-19.
