After only two  runs in their last  matchup, Lafayette made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Biloxi  on Wednesday. The Lafayette Commodores blew past the Biloxi Indians 12-1. The Commodores might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten  runs or more this season.
 Sydney Cregar made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Cregar was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Avery Lewis and  Mary Madison Kelley did most of the damage at the plate:  Lewis  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while  Kelley  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Braleigh Crowe was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
 Lafayette  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Biloxi only posted  an  OBP of  .222.
Lafayette has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Biloxi and  nudges their season record down to 9-5.
 Looking ahead, Lafayette will venture away from home to  challenge West Union  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Biloxi, they will welcome D'Iberville  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. D'Iberville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so Biloxi's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
