The Woodward Academy War Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Evans Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodward Academy will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Woodward Academy stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Forest Park 45-6 at home. With Woodward Academy ahead 24-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Woodward Academy can attribute much of their success to Lucas Farrington, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, Evans had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 35-20 win over South Effingham on Friday. The win was just what Evans needed coming off of a 35-7 loss in their prior game.
Rayshaun King was on fire: he rushed for 237 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Ej Hogan was another key contributor, rushing for 112 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Woodward Academy to 8-2 and Evans to 4-6.
