The Purvis Tornadoes lost against the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Purvis took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forrest County Agricultural. Purvis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoey Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillee Crider, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Purvis has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season.
Purvis is on the road again on Monday and plays Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Quitman is coming into the matchup with six straight victories at home, so Purvis is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Forrest County Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
