Everything went their way against Cheatham County Central as East Hickman County made off with a 89-66 win. The victory was some much needed relief for East Hickman County as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
When it comes to explaining why Cheatham County Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is John Bumpus. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Boak, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
East Hickman County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. As for Cheatham County Central, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
East Hickman County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Houston County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully East Hickman County likes a good challenge. Cheatham County Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Montgomery Central at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th.
