There's no place like home for the Grove City Greyhounds, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past Westerville Central with a 60-54 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Grove City also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Grove City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kraig Gilbert out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Gallagher, who scored 15 points.
Grove City's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Westerville Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove City will take on Pickerington North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Pickerington North is ranked 73rd, while Grove City is ranked 52nd). As for Westerville Central, they will be playing at home against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
