After a string of four wins, The Ridgefield Spudders''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 28-21 to Woodland. Ridgefield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Woodland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, Ridgefield still got an impressive performance from Cly Stephens, who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
Elijah Andersen went supernova for Woodland, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 55 receiving yards. Andersen was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.
Ridgefield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Woodland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Ridgefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Woodland will be playing at home against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
