The North Murray Mountaineers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against South Atlanta on Saturday as North Murray made off with a 35-12 victory. The win was just what North Murray needed coming off of a 59-7 loss in their prior match.
Skyler Williams got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Judson Petty was another key contributor, gaining 78 total yards and a touchdown.
North Murray is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for South Atlanta, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
North Murray is on the road again on Friday and play against Fellowship Christian at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Fellowship Christian will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. South Atlanta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
