The Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of King Charter by a score of 22-19. Metairie Park Country Day was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as King Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Metairie Park Country Day's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 St. Charles Catholic and 8-1 Newman (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70% over those games). As for King Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Metairie Park Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now. King Charter will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Episcopal will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
