When it comes to credentials, Keystone senior Kenzie Conrad has a resume full of them.
The MaxPreps National Softball Player of the Year was a standout in the circle and at the plate for the nation's No. 1 team, helping the Wildcats to an undefeated season at 32-0.
At the plate, Conrad was phenomenal with a .485 batting average, 44 RBIs and a team-leading 11 home runs. The Wildcats were a prolific home run-hitting team this year, setting an Ohio state record with 45 home runs on the season.
In the circle, Conrad was unbeatable, going 25-0 with 14 shutouts and a 0.74 ERA. She struck out 178 batters in 142 innings pitched with just 15 earned runs and only 17 walks. She has a career record of 66-5 and the Wildcats have gone 117-11 in her four seasons on the varsity team.
The Ohio Gatorade State Player of the Year and an Ohio Division II All-State selection, Conrad is headed to Akron next year.

National Softball Coach of the Year.

Conrad heads the annual MaxPreps All-American Softball Team, which includes 30 members on the first team and 30 on the second. Also honored is Deer Park coach Carrie Austgen, who is the MaxPreps National Softball Coach of the Year.
Austgen took a team that had never won a state softball championship and defeated some of the top teams in the Texas 5A playoffs. In the postseason, Deer Park (31-8) beat Alvin, Katy, Pearland, O'Connor and finally Klein Collins in the championship game. All five of Deer Park's final opponents were ranked nationally at one time or another.
Deer Park didn't actually win its district, finishing second at 8-2 behind Dobie. However the Deer got hot at the right time and rode the play of tournament MVP Kristen Davenport, who threw a 6-0 shutout against Klein Collins in the finals. Davenport is one of just three seniors on the 18-member roster for the Deer.
