It was a good run, but the Coahoma Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a rough 50-26 loss at the hands of Jim Ned. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Coahoma has scored all season.
Coahoma's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayhill Lewis, who scored seven points. Isabella Cox was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Coahoma's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-8. As for Jim Ned, they pushed their record up to 28-2 with that victory, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coahoma will face off against Merkel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merkel is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Jim Ned, they will be playing at home against Grape Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
