The Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans will head out to face off against the Willcox Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy beat Holbrook 28-24.

| 09/20/25 vs Holbrook | 4 |
| 09/12/25 vs Parker | 1 |
| 09/05/25 @ Heritage Academy | 2 |
| 08/22/25 vs Chandler Prep | 4 |
Will Ryken was his usual excellent self, rushing for 188 yards and four scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 11 rushing touchdowns on the season.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Holbrook to a completion percentage of just 45.5%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Jacob Lee, Jaeden Weiss, Alex Gallatin, and Jackson Larson, who each logged one passes deflected. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braxton Whittington and Lee.
Meanwhile, Willcox got themselves on the board against Tombstone on Friday, but Tombstone never followed suit. They blew past the Yellow Jackets 49-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won eight in a row.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kaleb Cooke and Asher Ward. Cooke rushed for 56 yards and one TD while Ward rushed for 61 yards. Cooke also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Willcox, their record now sits at 4-1.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Willcox when the teams last played back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-21 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cowboys' Landon Ward, who rushed for 184 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Spartans to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
