1A District 3 recap October 8, 2013
Jalen Washington of Frankfort ran for the longest rushing play in 1A District 3 this season against Shelby County last week. Washington ran for 72 yards on the play and finished with 173 on the day as his team bested the Rockets.
Paris added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bethlehem, 35-33. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Greyhounds.
On the heels of Anthony Robinson and Washington, Frankfort has had great success on offense. Robinson leads the league in passing with 781 yards, while Washington has rushed for 541 yards this season. Bracken County's Ryan May leads the league in receiving yards with 537 on 19 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Paris takes on second place Frankfort.
Paris led 1A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Eagles/Banshees.
