This year's high school football season certainly will look unlike anything we've ever seen. While some states are set to kickoff this month, beginning with
Utah on Aug. 13, others won't start until March. Despite a ton of uncertainty surrounding this season we now take a look at the best player in all 50 states.
Some players have already said they
intend to sit out in the spring. However, we've included them choosing not to exclude them from something out of their control.
Some notable selections topping the list include Centennial's (Corona, Calif.) 5-star defensive end Korey Foreman, 2021 Oklahoma commit Caleb Williams, 2021 Georgia commit Brock Vandagriff, Terrebonne's (Houma, La.) 5-star defensive tackle Maason Smith, 2021 Auburn commit Dematrius Davis and Emeka Egbuka, the reigning MaxPreps Junior of the Year.
DE | 6-2 | 235 | Class of 2022
The Alabama pledge led the Warriors to their first state title since 1982. He had a team-high in tackles (119), sacks (9) and tackles for loss (25). Alexander and the defending 7A champs open the season Aug. 22 against Oxford, the reigning 6A champs.
Alaska

Was a first-team selection on the Division 1 all-state squad and made an impact on both sides of the ball.
Arizona
QB | 6-4 | 215 | Class of 2021
The 2021 Oregon commit threw for over 4,000 yards and 45 touchdowns while leading the Wildcats to a 5A state championship. The top-rated recruit in Arizona also had an impressive showing at the Elite 11 Finals earlier this summer.
Arkansas
CB | 6-0 | 175 | Class of 2021
Checks in as the top-rated player in the state on 247Sports composite rankings and the future Aggie is a big-time playmaker on both sides of the ball.
California
DE | 6-4 | 265 | Class of 2021
The No. 1 rated player in the country
announced on Twitter he plans to skip his senior season and enroll in college early after the CIF moved football to the spring.
Colorado
RB | 5-11 | 175 | Class of 2022
Became the first player from the Colorado power to rush for over 1,500 yards in a season since
Christian McCaffrey in 2013. Checks in as the No. 2 running back in the Class of 2022 and top-rated player in the state.
Connecticut

Georgia

The Georgia pledge has thrown for over 5,600 yards and 59 touchdowns over the last two seasons. The 5-star quarterback also has nearly 1,500 yards rushing and 29 more scores during that span.
The Georgia High School Association announced July 20 it is pushing the first games back two weeks to Sept. 4.
Hawaii

Played a key role for the four-time defending state champs as a junior and expect an even bigger senior campaign.
Idaho
QB | 6-1 | 185 | Class of 2021
Threw for over 3,700 yards and 32 touchdowns for the 5A runner-up. The Idaho High School Activities Association is moving forward with the fall season as planned with the first games beginning Aug. 28.
Illinois
QB | 5-11.5 | 200 | Class of 2021
The Missouri commit became the second player in state history to account for at least 5,000 yards of total offense in a season.
Illinois announced last week it was moving football to the spring and Macon has yet to announce his plans.

Led the Hornets to an undefeated season and a spot at No. 1 in the state. Accounted for over 2,500 yards of total offense and 30 touchdowns while leading Leavitt to its first state title since 2013. He's also one of the top basketball players in the state.
Maryland

The Penn State commit played a huge role for the WCAC champs last season. As good as any offensive lineman in the country. Tengwall is in the same position as Williams and will have to make a decision on his future.
Massachusetts

The future Wolverine is one of the top tight ends in the country and makes an impact on the other side of the ball.
Michigan
RB | 5-11 | 190 | Class of 2021
The No. 3 rated running back on 247Sports composite rankings had over 2,000 yards of total offense and 25 touchdowns in 2019.
Minnesota
OT | 6-7 | 270 | Class of 2021
The Wisconsin pledge is the No. 1 rated player in the state and one of the most athletic offensive lineman. Played some tight end last season and also made an impact on defense.
Mississippi
QB | 6-2 | 205 | Class of 2021
Named the
Mississippi Gatorade Football Player of the Year after throwing for over 3,700 yards and 41 touchdowns. Added another 400-plus yards rushing and four more scores while leading the Tartars to their second state title in the last three years.
Missouri

The 2021 Ohio State commit had seven interceptions in 2019 for the No. 1 team in the state and Class 6 champs.
Montana

Was an impact player on both sides of the ball for the AA state champs. Accounted for 14 touchdowns on offense while racking up 94 tackles, 15.5 sacks and 41 tackles for loss on defense.
Nebraska

Checks in as the top-rated player in the state and is the No. 8 rated cornerback in the Class of 2021 on 247Sports composite rankings.
Nevada

The Gaels have produced some big-time players over the last decade and Moss is on track to be the next great from the Las Vegas power.
Nevada announced it will play a six-game season in the spring.
New Hampshire

The top prospect in the state is one of the most physically gifted players in the game. He's also a standout baseball player and could play both in college.

The top-rated prospect in New Mexico was named to the first team 5A all-state team as a junior after racking up 13 tackles for loss and nine sacks. He committed to UCLA in May.
New York
RB | 5-9 | 175 | Class of 2021
The 2021 Oregon commit is one of the top running backs in the country. He missed his junior season because of transfer rules and if New York plays football this fall expect a huge senior campaign for the 4-star playmaker.
North Carolina

North Dakota
OT | 6-5 | 270 | Class of 2021
One of the leaders on the offensive line for the AAA state champs. Helped the Patriots to an undefeated season and has offers from Stanford, Arizona State, Minnesota, Kansas State and a handful of other schools.
Ohio
DE | 6-5 | 250 | Class of 2021
Had 16.5 sacks last season and the Ohio State commit accounted for 15 touchdowns on offense while also playing quarterback in 2019.

The Florida pledge still hasn't come close to reaching his full potential, which is scary for opposing offensive linemen. He's one of the most explosive edge rushers in the country and helped lead Sumter to a 10-1 record in 2019.

The Nebraska commit is the No. 1 recruit from South Dakota and was a first team all-state selection at linebacker.

Davis is the first quarterback since
Kyler Murray to lead his school to back-to-back state titles in Texas' largest classification. The Auburn pledge has thrown for over 6,000 yards and rushed for nearly 2,000 more to go with 103 total touchdowns over the last two years.

The top-rated player in the state and, if he ends next year at No. 1 in Utah, would be the third-straight player from Orem joining

Had one of the best single seasons at quarterback in Wyoming history. Was named the 4A offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 2,975 yards and 35 touchdowns. It was the
second most passing yards in a season in state history.
