The Jackson County Generals will head out on the road to  take on  the Harlan Green Dragons  at 8:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Jackson County took a 13-run  defeat the last time they faced off against South Laurel, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Generals narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Cardinals  3-2.
Meanwhile, Harlan earned  a  6-2 win over Knox Central  on Monday. The  victory continues a trend for the Green Dragons in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.
 Jordyn Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Abby Fields was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI.  Addison Jackson was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Harlan was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knox Central only posted a  batting average of  .222.
 Jackson County now  has a winning record of 18-17. As for Harlan, their record now sits at 19-8.
 Jackson County beat Harlan 6-1  when the teams last played  back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
