After a string of three wins, the Union Local Jets's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 84-77 to St. Clairsville. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (71), Union Local still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Union Local had strong showings from Dre Saunders, who scored 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Alex Moore, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saunders has scored all season. Billy Schumacher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Union Local's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for St. Clairsville, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Union Local will take on Barnesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Barnesville is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for St. Clairsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Steubenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Steubenville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
