The Sonora Broncos will take on the Water Valley Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Sonora suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. Their rough 76-53 defeat to Reagan County might stick with them for a while. Sonora has not had much luck with Reagan County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Water Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 52-47 to Ozona.
Sonora has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Water Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.
Sonora was able to grind out a solid victory over Water Valley when the teams last played on January 2nd, winning 68-57. Will Sonora repeat their success, or does Water Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
