For the first time since back in March, Basalt was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor the Aspen Skiers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Basalt was without their leading scorer, Nyla Visnic, in Thursday's match. With Visnic sitting this one out, Ruthie Lofaro got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 57.1).

With that draw, Basalt's record moves to 1-4-2. As for Aspen, they moved theirs to 4-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Basalt will welcome Coal Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Basalt will be up against Coal Ridge's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.3 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
