The Riverside Prep Silver Knights's and the University Prep Jaguars's match  on Friday was close at halftime, but the Riverside Prep Silver Knights turned on the heat in the second half with 34  points. Riverside Prep was the clear victor by a  60-40 margin over University Prep. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Riverside Prep.
 Riverside Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Lonnie DeShazier, who  dropped  a triple-double on 11 points, 17  rebounds, and ten  assists. That's the first time this season that  DeShazier  posted eight or more   assists. Another player making a difference was  Raoul Churchill, who  scored 16 points along with six  rebounds and five  steals.
 Riverside Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for University Prep, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will  face off against Hesperia Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Hesperia Christian focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 38 on Friday. University Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on January 9th.
