The Four Corners Coyotes and the Tohopekaliga Tigers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Four Corners gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 61-22 win over Mater Brighton Lakes Academy. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-9.
Four Corners found their leader in underclassman Danielys Pena Ponce, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Mia Villanueva was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Tohopekaliga beat Celebration 42-32 on Friday. The victory was just what Tohopekaliga needed coming off of a 63-30 loss in their prior match.
Four Corners is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Tohopekaliga, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
