East Gaston won the last time they faced Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over the Gryphons. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jaiden Crouch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Crouch was also solid in the batter's box,  earning two  RBI, one  run,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Cameron Barnette was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. East Gaston is 7-2 when  Barnette posts two or  more  runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zane Dodd, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
The  win made it two in a row for East Gaston and  bumps their season record up to 10-8. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2  run in those games. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the  defeat, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 East Gaston has already played their next matchup,  a  5-4  win against Corvian Community on the 15th. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  16-3  loss against Highland Tech on the 15th.
