The Tioga Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Tom Bean Tomcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Tioga is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Trenton 72-0 on Friday. The Bulldogs have beaten the Tigers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Greeley McAden had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 481 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 92% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Jaxson Hurst did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 144 receiving yards.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tom Bean and Whitewright meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Tomcats blew past the Tigers, posting a 69-6 victory. Considering the Tomcats have won four matchups by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tioga better keep an eye on Donnie Hooten. He was instrumental in Tom Bean's win, throwing for 421 yards and six TDs while completing 92.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Hooten a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Brayden Bomar also helped out as he racked up 107 receiving yards.
Tom Bean didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dyson Farris and Chase Stratton. Another thorn in Whitewright's side was Tatum Hanson, who picked up a sack and made 23 total tackles.
Tom Bean's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Tioga, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Tioga has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 186.5 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Tom Bean has preferred to attack from the air: they average 350 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Everything came up roses for Tioga against Tom Bean when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
