The Neshaminy Skins entered their tilt with the Council Rock North Indians with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Neshaminy made off with a 60-59 win over Council Rock North. Given Neshaminy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Council Rock North is ranked 349th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neshaminy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nate Townsend, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Emeer Coombs, who scored 16 points.
Neshaminy pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Council Rock North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neshaminy will take on Bensalem at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Council Rock North, they will be playing at home against Pennsbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
