The North Forney Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. Their rough 81-57 defeat to Horn might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, North Forney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Horn is ranked 81st).
When it comes to explaining why North Forney lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kei'von Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Nick Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
North Forney has not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-20 record this season. As for Horn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season.
North Forney will head out on the road to square off against Royse City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royse City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully North Forney likes a good challenge. As for Horn, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. Horn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
