Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saratoga). They came out on top against the Lincoln Lions by a score of 67-60 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln lost, don't look at Joseph Shelton. Despite the final result, he posted 30 points and five assists. That was a full 50% of Lincoln's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emran Ali, who earned seven points.

Saratoga pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Lincoln, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Saratoga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-67 victory against Homestead on the 4th. As for Lincoln, they will take on El Primero at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully El Primero likes a good challenge.
