USA Basketball announced the 27 athletes expected to participate in the U19 National Team training camp in Colorado Springs, Colo., beginning June 18.
The 12-member team will be announced prior to departing for Brno, Czechia, for the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup from July 12-20.
The 27 players span four classes, from 2024 through 2028 and were were selected by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee. The group features 26 athletes with past USA Basketball experience, 17 of whom have combined for 23 gold medals.
Teri Moren of the University of Indiana will serve as the head coach along with assistants Jose Fernandez of the University of South Florida and Niele Ivey of Notre Dame. Supporting as coaches during training camp will be Carly Thibault-DeDonis of Fairfield University and Aaron Roussell of the University of Richmond.
The FIBA U19 World Cup features 16 teams who qualified on their finishes in the U18 zone championships. The USA drew Group A with Israel, Hungary and Korea.
The USA has won the gold medal in nine of the last 10 competitions, including the last three.
