The Cherryvale Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. The matchup between Cherryvale and Marmaton Valley wasn't particularly close, with Cherryvale falling 52-38.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Fox, who scored ten points along with two blocks. Fox is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bricen Raida, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Cherryvale bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Marmaton Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Cherryvale will take on St. Paul at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Paul is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Marmaton Valley, they will be playing at home against Pleasanton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
