Baseball Recap: Gilbert Gets the Win

Gilbert took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against White Knoll, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Timberwolves on Tuesday. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 win the Timberwolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2019.

Gilbert's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for White Knoll, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will host Gray Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 1.5, the War Eagles 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for White Knoll, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Chapin at 6:30 p.m.
