 Smoky Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ayden Johnson led the charge by rushing for 154 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jarek Jones, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown.
 Smoky Mountain's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Malachi McNeely and  Malachi Mcneely. Mcneely also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 T.C. Roberson pushed their record up to 1-1 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Smoky Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
