The Allegany Campers can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They claimed a resounding 63-28 win over Shalom Christian Academy on the road. With Allegany ahead 33-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Shalom Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maya Lehman, who scored six points along with three steals. Lehman hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Joanna Rheam, who scored six points.
The win was the fourth in a row for Allegany, bringing their record for this year to 10-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Shalom Christian Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.
Allegany will take on Goretti at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mercersburg Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Shalom Christian Academy is coming into the game with seven straight defeats on the road, meaning Mercersburg Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
